Research Abstract

Ethnic identity has been criticized in multicultural social work discourse in Australia. However, research revealed that essential practices of ethnic identity by migrants were a strategy by ethnic minorities to promote multicultural society. The production of ethnic identity by ethnic communities was seen not only in actual social welfare activities but also in the virtual internet community through Information Communication Technology (ICT).
