Research Abstract |
Macrocycles having preorganized, defined cavities and structures of molecular dimensions have attracted great interest due to their novel properties and potential applications. We successfully constructed novel belt-shaped macrocycles with direction-persistent peripheral functionalities in both horizontal and vertical directions to the macrocyclic backbone by using hydrindacene derivatives.
