Research Abstract |
In order to develop the synthesis of chiral compounds, we designed novel organocatalysts and reagents having a coordinative group in their structures. Although enantioselective aldol reaction to ketone is generally difficult, the reaction using our novel organocatalysts afforded good results. Especially, biologically active convolutamydine derivatives can be prepared by using the organocatalysts. Furthermore, organocatalyst could be easily introduced into montmorillonite. The catalyst was readily reusable without significant loss of catalytic activity or enantioselectivity.
