Research Abstract |
We propose an optical measurement system for a velocity of the blood flow by using a novel liquid crystal (LC) optical device with several divided circularly hole-patterned electrodes. The LC optical device has unique functions such as a variable focal length and beam-steering properties without any mechanical movements. The water flow and blood flow can be measured by using the optical measurement system.
