Research Abstract |
This work presents an optically controlled phased-array antenna system for radio-over-fiber (RoF) access networks. To optically interconnect between RoF network and phased-array antenna, wideband all-optical multicasting technique of analog optical signal modulated by an electrical signal with wireless local network format was experimentally demonstrated. We successfully achieved high performances and showed the practical implementation.
