Research Abstract |
Colorization is the process that restores colors on a gray-scale image from user-generated color-assignation information. We propose a novel approach to image compression that extracts such color assignation from an input color image (we called this inverse colorization). From this study, we have obtained the optimal color assignation extraction method for colorization based coding and compression method for the repeatable features such as texture in the images.
