Research Abstract |
In order to observe the three-dimensional ionization distribution produced along the path of a medical heavy ion beam in low pressure tissue equivalent gas, the measurement system using micro pattern gas detector technology has been developed. In the development, gas electron multipliers were used and the basic properties were measured in several operational conditions to use the system as a time projection chamber.
