Research Abstract

To reveal the transcriptional regulatory network governing vascular differentiation, I established novel screening systems for isolation of regulatory factors. I cloned coding sequences of transcription factors into binary vectors for overexpression. A novel regulator of VND7 that was a master regulator of protoxylem vessels was isolated using them. The novel regulator, LBD15/ASL11, directly bound to VND7 promoter.
