Research Abstract

We have developed a novel wide-field fluorescence microscope using non-diffractive beam generated with a femto-second laser and an axicon lens. Fluorescence matters in sample can be excited along optical axis by the beam. This microscope allows to observe optically sectioned image with low-magnification objective. We have employed this microscope to image living sample and discussed its biological application.
