Research Abstract |
Protein synthetic process by ribosome (translation) had never been observed the detail movement in solution, because ribosome is a macro complex (2.3MDa) comprised of 55 proteins and three rRNAs. In this study, we succeeded in the simultaneous detection of 52 ribosomal proteins in solution on the working time scale by using deuterium exchange and mass spectrometry, and elucidated the magnitude of the conformation change during the translocation process in protein synthesis.
