Research Abstract

広島湾において珪藻とそれに感染するウイルスの挙動を解析した結果,両者は密接な生態学的関係を持つことが明らかとなった。また,珪藻の一種であるキートセロス・テヌイシマス感染する新規環状1本鎖DNAウイルスを分離することに成功した。これまでに分離された珪藻感染性RNAウイルスの分子系統解析を行った結果,それらは新しいウイルス属に分類され,これを国際ウイルス分類委員会に提唱した。
