Research Abstract |
To evaluate the quality of home healthcare services, this study investigated associations between healthcare services at home and the quality of life (QOL) of patients at 1 and 2 years after stroke onset. The results demonstrated that QOL at 1 year after stroke onset was not appreciably different from that at the time when home care services commenced, and that no association was observed between the amount of home healthcare services patients received and their QOL. However, the QOL of patients at 2 years after stroke onset was slightly better than when home care started.
