Research Abstract |
We originally established novel gene targeted mice, which can strongly express theCCL1 only in the lung tissues under the control of surfactant protein C (SP-C) promoter. To date, we confirmed that significantly higher expression ofCCL1 in bronchial alveolar fluid (BALF) in CCL1 gene targeted mice, compared with control mice. To evaluate the role of CCL1 during the respiratory infection or pathogenesis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bacterial infection or pulmonary emphysema will be induced in these mice.
