Research Abstract

ヘルパーT細胞(Th細胞)は気管支喘息の病態に大きく関与する。我々は、Th細胞が特徴的な「糖鎖分子」を用いて肺にホーミングすることを過去に見出した。本研究では、喘息患者と健常者から採血を行い、Th細胞の糖鎖分子の量を測定した。その結果、患者では糖鎖分子の発現量が有意に増加していることを見出した。気管支喘息と病態が類似するアトピー性皮膚炎でも同じ傾向が見られ、臨床的重症度と相関する傾向を認めた。以上の結果から、Th細胞の糖鎖分子測定が、これらの疾患の難治性評価に有用である可能性が示された。
