Research Abstract |
It is well known that extracellular pH plays important roles in bone remodeling, but the molecular mechanisms are yet unidentified. To reveal the roles of novel four proton-sensing receptors (OGR1, GPR4, TDAG8, G2A), we investigated the functions of OGR1 in human osteoblasts and murine osteoclasts. Moreover, we examined the bone mineral density in femurs obtained from receptor-knockout mice.
