Research Abstract |
In porcine fluid-resuscitated endotoxemia model, a low dose of carperitide, a synthetic atrial natriuretic peptide, administered prior to endotoxemia maintained systemic and splanchnic circulation, and prevented the deterioration of oxygenation. Carperitide infusion is a potentially beneficial therapy with respect to systemic and splanchnic circulation as well as the respiratory system during sepsis.
