Research Abstract |
破骨細胞分化誘導過程においてRCANのmRNA発現が、分化が進むに従い、増大することを見出した。機能抑制実験では、予想に反して破骨細胞形成への影響はほとんど見られないため、RCANファミリーであるRCAN2および3の代償機構が働いている可能性を示した。一方、破骨形成分化過程において、交感神経系のα1-アドレナリン受容体の発現が増加していること、α-作動薬は破骨細胞の細胞内カルシウム濃度の上昇を引き起こすことを見出した。本研究によりRCAN1は、交感神経による骨代謝にも重要な役割を持つことが考えられる。
