Research Abstract

The suppressant effect of progression and the time-dependent change of the apoptotic related protein in oral squamous cell carcinoma cell by AICAR, as AMPK activated reagent were examined using a MTS assay and western blotting. As a result, dose-dependent and time-dependent suppressant effect of progression by AICAR was confirmed. Furthermore, time-dependent increase of AMPKα, Phospho-AMPKα, bax and p53 and time-dependent decrease of bcl-2 and PCNA were confirmed by western blotting.
