Research Abstract

oxLDL opsonized with anti-phospholipid promotes production of proinflammatory cytokines by DCs and NK cells and thus may participate in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. Opsonization of oxLDL by anti-phospholipid could provide a mechanism to help explain why periodontitis patients are more likely to develop atherosclerosis.
