Research Abstract

A series of chiral triazolium salts have been designed as a new class of chiral phase-transfer catalyst, and readily prepared from easily available optically pure α-amino acids. The reactivity and selectivity of these chiral triazolium salts as chiral phase-transfer catalysts have been evaluated in the asymmetric cyanation and alkylation under mild liquid-liquid phase-transfer conditions.
