Research Abstract

It has been reported that meiotic telomere clustering, conserved from yeast to human, is important for meiotic chromosome recombination and segregation. In addition, telomere clustering is observed during mitosis in fission yeast. However, the detailed mechanism remains unclear. Genetic screening was performed to identify new factors involved in telomere clustering, and several candidate clones were obtained in this screening.
