Research Abstract |
Mesenchymal stem cells have a multipotent differentiation capacity into osteoblasts and adipocytes. Aging tips this balance in favor of the latter, thus inducing bone loss accompanied by fatty marrow, but the mechanism remains elusive. Here we show that Maf play an important role in bone aging.
