Research Abstract |
We demonstrate the ability to reverse human diabetic EPC dysfunction, and achieve supra-physiologic characteristics, by culturing these cells in our serum free ex vivo expansion system. Transplantation of ex vivo expanded diabetic EPCs to diabetic wounds may be a more effective therapeutic option for delayed wound healing in diabetic patients.
