Research Abstract |
We found that C-type lectin DC-SIGN expressed on dendritic cells recognized colorectal tumor-associated Lewis glycans expressed on colorectal carcinoma COLO205 cells, which contributed to tolerogenic immunity for tumor cells. We identified DC-SIGN ligands which were involved in the interaction with DC-SIGN. Moreover, we revealed that mannan binding protein interacted with DNA derived from various orignins in a calcium dependent manner.
