Outline of Final Research Achievements

Tb処理を行なって高保磁力化させたNdFeB系小型焼結磁石および厚膜磁石について、主に透過型電子顕微鏡を用いたナノ構造解析を行なった。Tb処理に伴って、焼結磁石では極薄アモルファス界面層が生成し、小型厚膜磁石ではTbを含む強磁性相で囲まれたカプセル構造が形成されることを見出した。稀少な重希土類元素Tbを粒界近傍のみに効果的に用いて保磁力を大幅に増大できるナノ組織が形成できることが明らかとなった。
