Outline of Final Research Achievements

白色LEDなどの応用に資するため, 希土類添加珪窒化物, 珪酸化物の発光特性と局所構造の関係を追及した. 主な結果は以下の通り. (1)赤色発光CaAlSiN_3:Eu^<2+>の空間群を決定し, Si/Alの無秩序分布を示した. (2)酸化物の部分窒化によりSr_3Al_<10-x>Si_<1+x>O_<20-x>N_x:Eu^<2+>を創成し, 発光効率を向上. (3)黄色発光(Sr,Ba)_2SiO_4:Eu^<2+>の温度特性がSrまたはBa単一の組成より良いことを見出した.
