Outline of Research at the Start

本提案は赤外線(熱線)を遮蔽・制御できるスマートウィンドウ用ナノ材料の開発を通して、冷暖房エネルギー消費の低減を実現し、二酸化炭素の排出量削減に貢献する。現行の熱線遮蔽材料には希少金属Inが多く使われるスズドープ酸化インジウム(ITO)等が利用され、それを代替し、新規レアメタルフリーな赤外線制御材料の精密組成制御・電子構造制御・形態制御・サイズ制御を通じ、赤外線遮蔽材料の機能性向上を実現する。ITOより大幅に性能向上した熱線遮蔽効果を検証し、赤外線遮蔽メカニズムの解明を行うと共に、省エネルギー効果を検証し、スマートウィンドウ用インジウムフリーな機能性ナノ材料の基盤技術開拓を行う。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

VO2にアニオン・カチオン複合イオンドープを施し、サーモクロミック機能を維持しながら、単斜晶VO2 (M)相から正方晶VO2 (R)相への半導体-金属相転移温度の効率的制御を目指した。
本年度では高い赤外線遮蔽能と、さらなる相転移温度の低減を両立させるため、超臨界水熱合成VO2に新たにモリブデン(Mo)ドープ、FとMoの共ドープを行った。Rietvelt解析と、XAFSデータを用いたシミュレーションにより、VO2(M)相は異なる2種類のV間距離からなる結晶格子を取り、Rutile相ではそれらは同一距離になる。そのため、Mo等のイオンドープはVO2(M)相でのV-V間距離差を低減させ,相転移温度を低下させるのに有用であることが明らかとなった。また、FとMoの共ドープにより、赤外線遮蔽能の大幅な向上に成功した。
尚、W18O49ナノ粒子のシート化についても検討し、粒子をポリジメチルシロキサン(PDMS)に分散し、攪拌・真空条件における脱泡プロセスの導入に伴い、透明で、高品質なナノ粒子ーポリマーハイブリッド薄膜の合成条件を確立した。合成した薄膜はフレキシブルな自立膜のため、ガラスなど様々な基板に張り付けが可能であることを見出した。
また、VO2はVO2(M)やVO2(R)のほかにもBrookite相(VO2(B))やAnatase相(VO2(A))など、結晶多型を取ることが知られている。優れたサーモクロミック機能を有する単斜晶VO2(M)相の合成は、前駆体の選別、反応温度やpHなどの反応条件が重要であるが、通常では影響が少ないはずの反応物充填量の変化により、VO2の組成変化が生じ、再現が困難になるなどの問題が生じた。そのメカニズムを解明し、容器内圧力または酸素分圧制御による影響を検証することが必要と思われ、引き続き、材料の安定的合成できる条件の確立が必要であることを明らかにした。

引き続き、VO2にアニオン・カチオン複合イオンドープを施し、サーモクロミック機能を維持しながら、単斜晶VO2 (M)相から正方晶VO2 (R)相への半導体-金属相転移温度の効率的制御に関して、引き続き詳細な検証を行った。
本年度では高い赤外線遮蔽能と、さらなる相転移温度の低減を両立させるため、超臨界水熱合成VO2に新たにモリブデン(Mo)ドープ、FとMoの共ドープを行った。Mo等のイオンドープはVO2(M)相でのV-V間距離差を低減させ,相転移温度を低下させるのに有用であることが明らかとなった。また、FとMoの共ドープにより、赤外線遮蔽能の向上に成功した。
尚、ナノ粒子のシート化についても検討し、W18O49粒子をポリジメチルシロキサン(PDMS)に分散し、攪拌・真空条件における脱泡プロセスの導入に伴い、透明で、高品質なナノ粒子ーポリマーハイブリッド薄膜の合成条件を確立した。

以上の結果を踏まえ、混合原子価状態タングステンサブオキサイドW18W49の新しい成膜手法の開発に成功したと共に、アニオン―カチオンコドープによるサーモクロミック機能の高度化に成功し、スズドープ酸化インジウム(ITO)を代替できる新規レアメタルフリーな赤外線遮蔽材料として利用可能であることを明らかになった。本研究は、さらなる機能性向上や単一相の安定的合成等の課題が依然残っているが、解決できることが見込まれており、おおむね順調に進展していると言える。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

昨年度に引き続き、合成手法として溶液プロセスを基軸にし、単斜晶VO2の合成とその合成条件の最適化を行う。アニオン及び複合イオンドープなど、元素置換による材料の電子構造制御を行い、インジウムフリー赤外線遮蔽材料の機能に対する影響を検証し、VO2粉体材料の物理化学特性チューニングと粉体からなる薄膜の品質制御・機能性向上を目指す。
今年度は引き続き、材料の安定的合成条件の確立を行い、ガス雰囲気制御を利用した気相法や溶液前駆体を利用した液相反応等、多様なアニオン化手法によるドーピング処理とプロセスの最適化を行う。ハロゲン元素以外のアニオンドープ条件の確立を行い、相転移温度の低温化と透明性や赤外線遮蔽機能の効率的チューニングを図る。
尚、アニオドープVO2の構造解析を行い、ドーピング量と相転移温度や光学特性との関連を解明する。特に窒素ドープなどにについて系統的に検証を行い、相転移温度の効率制御、透明性の向上やサーモクロミック機能の安定化について検証する。
これまでの成膜はドクターブレード法を利用し、手動で行うことを中心でしたが、荷重やスキャン速度など制御可能な自動成膜機の導入により、高品質な赤外線遮蔽機能膜の合成を行い、赤外線遮蔽機能薄膜の厚み制御、均一性制御を行うと共に、クオリティーが安定した膜合成と性能評価を実現し、赤外線遮蔽機能薄膜の高度機能化を目指す。また、赤外線遮蔽による温度上昇を防ぐシミュレーションハウスシステムの構築と評価も行う予定である。
赤外線遮蔽機能は材料の混合原子価状態や自由電子密度などの電子状態に密に関係しているため、これらの電子状態を制御することにより、導電性等にも顕著の変化が見込まれ、合成条件やドーピングなどの精密制御により、相転移温度近辺でのユニークな導電性変化によりマルチ機能性環境VOCガス応答や、光熱変換など、様々な新規応用の開拓と機能性集約を行う。
