| Outline of Research at the Start |
メンバーたちのこれまでの研究成果を踏まえつつ、日中映画をより広いアジア空間において、その製作、配給、受容と評価の実態を捉える。と同時に日本の敗戦という歴史の転換点に跨って、戦争下の日中映画が戦後および冷戦期にまったく影響力を失ったのではなく、むしろ表面上、戦時とうって変わった様相を呈しているものの、実は戦時と地続きの部分が多かった。このような重複、立体的、奥行きのある製作、配給、受容と再受容の実態を資料と映画テクストに即して解明し、個別研究の深化と合わせて、学際的な研究視点によって本研究を深め、研究ネットワークの構築を目指したい。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In 2020 and 2021, this research project was conducted mainly through of holding online workshops and symposiums; a special feature, "Crossing Borders of Representation in Japanese and Chinese Cinema," organized based on oral statements at a symposium held at Tsinghua University, China in 2019, was published in "Intelligence, No. 21".
In 2022 and 2023, this project members resumed research on materials abroad and in Japan, respectively. Several symposiums were held in conjunction with face-to-face study groups and other scientific research institutes, and a series of lectures by female researchers were held in response to requests from Tsinghua University. In addition, a total of seven special research film screenings were held at the National Film Archive of Japan over the past four years, and a collection of Chinese-language papers will be published in Taiwan.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
タイトルと上記の研究成果に示されたように、本研究は学術分野に跨って行われる学際的研究の一つと言える。メンバーの専攻は映画のみならず、文学、演劇、歴史、メディアなど広範囲にわたっている上、日本、中国、韓国、ロシアと地域研究の専門家も揃っている。戦時中と戦後の連続と断絶の両方からアプローチする方法論をメンバーが共有しているので、歴史の時間を縦断し、空間を横断しながら本研究が出した多くの研究成果は、学問をより細緻に追求する一方、広く社会や国民に分かりやすくアピールすることができたと思われる。
