Outline of Research at the Start |
もつれ状態の生成と制御は量子情報研究における中心的課題である。本研究では、色中心スピン対の量子ビット応用上の最重要課題である、もつれ状態の制御と検出を、強磁性体構造を用いて実現する。本研究では、近接色中心対を磁性体ナノウィンドウ下に作製し、局所勾配磁場を与えることで各スピンのPauliゲート操作とスピン間SWAP操作を両立、量子化方向の平行な色中心対のもつれ状態の万能ゲート制御を実験実証する。本研究による課題解決により、新規色中心材料におけるもつれ状態の制御の実現、もつれ状態の新規制御手法、大規模色中心スピンのもつれ状態の制御の実現への道を拓く。

Outline of Final Research Achievements |
To construct a universal gate set in multiple qubits, it is necessary to achieve both (1) (Pauli gate) operation of each bit and (2) controlled-NOT (or SWAP) operation via bit-to-bit interaction. To earn (2), it is necessary to bring about interaction between qubits by some method, and here we investigate how to realize entanglement through electromagnetic interaction between qubits placed close to each other.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究では、スピン中心を用いた量子ビットの大規模化に必要となる、近接スピン中心の構成方法を調べました。ここで可能性が広がった母体材料やスピン中心材料を用いることにより、多量子ビットを実現する固体中のスピン中心の機能性を大きく広げることが予測されます。したがって、本研究の成果は、量子ビット、特に固体中のスピン中心を用いた情報処理研究の基盤技術となることが期待されます。
