Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では,代表者らの従来研究を踏まえて,交通状態に関する旅行者の予想・期待をコントロールすることで,自己実現的かつ効率的な交通状況を実現する“ビリーフデザインアプローチ”による交通渋滞マネジメントの可能性を探究することを目的とする.そのために,(1) 交通情報に関するビリーフデザイン理論の構築,(2) ハンチングと渋滞抑制の検証実験,(3) 私的経済主体であるPFが社会的に最適な交通情報シグナルを自発的に提供するように促すためのインセンティブデザインの理論構築に取り組む.

Outline of Final Research Achievements

Big data on the movements of vehicles and people measured in real time is aggregated by platforms (PFs) and fed back to travelers as traffic information, which further changes travelers' behavior. The purpose of this study is to explore the possibility of traffic congestion management based on a belief design approach that realizes self-fulfilling and efficient traffic conditions by controlling travelers' expectations and expectations regarding traffic conditions. To this end, we will (1) develop a belief design theory of traffic information, and (2) conduct experiments to verify hunting and congestion control.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究は,「旅行者の交通状況に対する予想のコントロールによる渋滞マネジメントの可能性」を理論的・実証的に明らかにするものであるが,「情報提供内容の最適な制御」という観点は,従来の交通工学研究には見られない独自のものである.特に,情報のフィードバックと,混雑・渋滞によるフィードバックを同時に考慮した,渋滞解消のためのビリーフデザインアプローチを確立し,実現のための制度設計理論の構築を行う点に,本研究の独自性があると考えている.
