Outline of Research at the Start

毎冬多くの死傷者を出している雪処理中の事故やそれらに伴う負担を低減するためには、屋根勾配や隣棟間隔等の建築都市形態の工夫によるパッシブな手法とエネルギーを利用した融雪システムによるアクティブ手法の両面から積雪量の削減方法を整備していく必要がある。本研究では、CFD（Computational Fluid Dynamics）や熱収支解析等の雪氷物理モデリングに基づくシミュレーションによって、建築・都市空間の積雪深や雪荷重の削減方法を提案・評価し、パッシブ・アクティブを組み合わせたハイブリッド制御によって建築都市の積雪量を最小化する方法を研究する。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

建築都市を対象とした雪氷物理モデリングの精度向上を図るため、昨年度に引き続いて、特に①降雪・飛雪過程（風と雪の相互作用）のモデリング、②自然融雪過程のモデリングに力点をおいて研究を進めた。①については、これまでの研究で概ね達成できていたが、②については、気象データと熱収支解析に基づく雪荷重予測モデルを屋根雪に適用できるように改良した。そのモデルを雪氷防災科学研究所・雪氷防災研究センターに設置している観測用建物モデルに適用し、積雪重量データとの比較によりその精度を検証し、一定の性能を確認することができた。
さらに、これまでに開発してきた飛雪・融雪シミュレーションモデルを実在都市の複雑な形状の建物群に適用するために、数値モデルをオープンソース・ソフトウェアであるOpenFOAMに組み込むとともに、国土交通省のPLATEAUプロジェクトによって開発・公開が進められている３D都市モデルを扱えるような改良を施した。これらの新たに構築したプロトタイプシミュレーションモデルを、豪雪地帯の実在都市モデル（新潟県南魚沼市）に適用した結果、住宅街や路地裏など建物が密集しているエリアや、ホテルなど高い建物の周辺に吹き溜まりの発生が確認できた。このような領域では、堆積した雪による除雪障害の発生が懸念される。また高層建物の周りでは、建物自体が大きな障害物となってしまうため、より強い吹きだまりや吹き払いが発生する。このように数値シミュレーションによって実在の複雑市街地における詳細な積雪分布を予測できることが確認された。これらの情報は、建築や都市の設計段階において、建物周辺の積雪量（積雪深や雪荷重）を最小化したり、事前に危険箇所を予測し、それを回避するような対策に有効であると考えられる。
