Outline of Research at the Start

クルクミンは抗酸化作用や抗がん作用等、種々の生理活性を示す化合物で、サプリメントとしてもよく知られている。我々はクルクミン代謝経路がそれぞれ異なる微生物の単離に成功しており、本研究ではそれら微生物の持つ多様な代謝経路を化合物・酵素・遺伝子レベルで解明することを目的とする。さらに、本研究によって明らかにする代謝中間化合物の大量物質生産系を構築し、それら化合物の生産を目指す。
