| Outline of Research at the Start |
外来治療する高齢がん患者の個別性とQOLが尊重されたケア提供には、治療開始前から終了後も包括的な評価が重要であるが、多職種連携によるケア提供体制は不十分である。そこで、本研究は、高齢がん患者の外来治療に携わる医療者とともに、患者・家族の視座を取り入れた包括的機能評価を行い、評価に基づき必要なケアを統合して提供することをガイドする統合ケアモデルの開発を目的とする。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study was to develop a collaborative comprehensive integrated care model to support elderly cancer patients undergoing outpatient treatment. We conducted interviews with 14 elderly late-stage cancer patients undergoing outpatient treatment, four physicians involved in cancer treatment, and four nurses with expertise in cancer care.
As a result, we identified seven categories of perceptions regarding the treatment and symptoms of elderly cancer patients and seven categories of coping strategies.We also clarified nine categories of care provided by nurses ,and the content of medical care provided by physicians were identified.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究の結果から開発する統合モデルは、わが国において増加の一途を辿る後期高齢がん患者に対して、医療者が協働して、患者を包括的・総合的に機能評価を行い、安全で個別化した治療の選択、導入、継続、フォローアップを目指す新たな高齢がん患者のケアに寄与できると予測される。
