Outline of Research at the Start

本研究で，通常，無向グラフ上で行われる量子ウォークの研究を有向グラフに拡張する．古典的なランダムウォークでは起こらない量子ウォーク特有の現象として知られている「周期性」をテーマに，twisted Szegedy walk の基本性質の考察や固有値解析の基本的な手法を確立する．本研究の独自性は，代数的グラフ理論の発展的な手法と代数計算ソフト Magma を量子ウォークの考察に流用するところにある．これらの研究を通して更に，量子ウォークが定める行列の固有値の情報を代数的グラフ理論に還元し，固有値を用いた有向グラフの構造解明，不変量の評価，固有値による特徴づけの研究を行う．

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

当該年度も多くの研究業績を残すことができた。量子ウォークの周期性を研究するにあたり、代数的整数論だけでなく、体論やガロア理論も有用であることが分かったことが大きい。体論やガロア理論の基礎的な知識を補填し、代数的グラフ理論の基本的な事実と組み合わせることで「周期が 2*奇数 の Grover walk を誘導する正則グラフが多くの場合サイクルグラフに限られる」ことを明らかにした。周期がひとつ決まると、discriminant と呼ばれる、正規化した隣接行列が持つべき固有値が明示的に決定される。このとき、固有値の重複度の情報が、代数的数のQ上共役を調べることで明らかにされる。このことに注目し、代数的数のQ上共役を体の対称性、つまりガロア群を調べることで明らかにした。また、当該年度はガロア理論と体論を用いた研究だけでなく、strongly walk regular graph と呼ばれるグラフクラスの周期性も研究した。こちらについては、綺麗な結果は得られていないが、コンピュータを用いて周期性をもつグラフの固有値のリストを列挙することに成功した。現在は、コンピュータを用いて得られた固有値のリストを実現するグラフの存在性について議論している。
