Outline of Research at the Start

初期宇宙で生じたビッグバン元素合成は、初期宇宙に生成された軽元素存在量の理論予測が可能にするという点で、天体の観測結果と比較することのできる重要な物理現象である。一方、暗黒物質は様々な宇宙論・素粒子論的模型において盛んにその正体が議論されている一方で、現在同定されている性質は限定的である。
本研究では、初期宇宙において暗黒物質が起こしうる散乱や崩壊に注目し、結果的に生じる軽元素存在量の変化を数値的に調べることによって、理論的模型について個別にその妥当性を議論する。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度は、宇宙マイクロ波背景放射(CMB)について、宇宙複屈折の効果を含めた数値計算に関する研究を行った。宇宙複屈折とは、CMB光子が宇宙空間を伝播する際に直線偏光の偏光面が回転する現象であり、アクシオンなどの擬スカラー粒子が光子と相互作用を持つことによって生じうる。現在CMBの観測から等方な複屈折の存在が示唆されており、その起源として様々なアクシオン模型が調べられている。今回は特にearly dark energyと呼ばれる模型について複屈折の効果を含めたCMBの数値計算を行い、CMB観測による模型の検証可能性を議論した。Early dark energyはハッブル定数の推定における不一致を解消する模型の一つであり、その存在がCMBの偏光回転という別の観点から検証される可能性を指摘した。
また、超対称性の枠組みに含まれる模型において、Q-ballと呼ばれるノントポロジカルソリトンやバリオン数生成に注目し、重力波や原始ブラックホールの生成についての研究を行った。宇宙初期において局所的に大きなバリオン数が生成される模型において、その領域は後の宇宙で他の領域よりも大きなエネルギー密度を持つことになるため、原始ブラックホールへと潰れる可能性がある。このようなシナリオにおいて、原始ブラックホール生成量の推定を従来よりも正確に行うとともに、ブラックホールに取り込まれないバリオン数の存在からシナリオに新たな制限を与えた。さらに、その制限を逃れうる模型を提案した。
