| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究は、日本語教師が技能として習得すべき実践的コミュニケーション能力のモデル化と評価指標の構築に取り組み、それらを基盤にして実践的コミュニケーション能力育成のための教材およびプログラムを開発する。本研究を通じて、養成段階での実践的コミュニケーション能力育成を可能にすることで、教育現場で即戦力として指導できる教師を育て、日本語教師の質を向上させ担保するという日本語教育界全体の課題の解決を目指す。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In order to make a model of practical communication skills for Japanese language teachers and develop evaluation criteria, we analyzed teachers' discourse and interactions between teachers and learners in Japanese language classes for international students, and identified classroom situations where practical communication skills are required. Additionally, interviews were conducted with teachers, learners, and student teachers to clarify the reality of communication within the classroom. Based on the findings, specific examples of activities for cultivating practical communication skills in Japanese language teachers were developed. Furthermore, practical activities were considered for teacher training programs to enhance student teachers' awareness of practical communication skills.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
授業内コミュニケーションの事例を具体化し、日本語教師の養成段階での実践的コミュニケーション能力の育成のための理論的枠組みと方法論を示したことで、養成段階修了後に教育現場で即戦力として活躍できる教師を育て、日本語教師の質を向上させ担保するという、現在の日本語教育界が抱える課題の解決策の一端を担ったところに、本研究の学術的意義がある。また、本研究の取り組みは、日本語以外の外国語教育、学校教育や社員教育などの教育場面をはじめ、医療や介護、カウンセリングなどの療法場面にも応用でき、現場従事者のコミュニケーション力の向上に寄与するという社会的意義がある。
