Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In order to identify important items to consider individualized instruction, a survey of 79 high school students was used to examine 11 items (1) Katakana acquisition and conversion, 2) Katakana acquisition and phonology, 3) Alphabet acquisition, 4) Phoneme analysis and auditory short-term memory, 5) Auditory short-term memory and letter sound identification, 6) Auditory short-term memory, 7) Auditory short-term memory, 8) Visual short-term memory and phonological coding, 9) Auditory Short-term memory, letter-sound identification, and working memory ⑩ Auditory short-term memory, phonological manipulation, and working memory ⑪ Phonological coding and vocabulary knowledge). The results showed that there was a high correlation between katakana letter conversion ability, alpha-bet letter conversion ability, auditory short-term memory, visual short-term memory, and working memory.
