Outline of Research at the Start

Outline of Final Research Achievements

A Vietnamese translation of "Your Irreplaceable Self, Your Irreplaceable Health," a health awareness teaching material for junior high school students, was created and 12,000 copies were printed and distributed to schools, mainly in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Health education training sessions were held for education administrators and teachers, and opinions were exchanged with junior high school, high school, and elementary school teachers about health education and the possibility of using the booklet.
A questionnaire survey revealed high interest in sexual behavior, mental health, and road safety. It also revealed that there were differences in instruction between school types with regard to life skills education, such as stress management and communication methods, and that junior high schools had the most experience of instruction on preventing smoking, drinking, and drug abuse.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
