幼児は様々な活動を通して表現することを楽しむ。様々な表現があるが、特に他者と協働する場合には言葉を用いる。その幼児同士の伝え合いは、就学期以降に必要不可欠とされるコミュニケーション力の基礎となる。
そのため、保幼小の連携という視点からも、保育現場では幼児同士の会話を豊かにする仕組みを有した保育活動の設計が求められている。
本研究は、幼児の表現活動において幼児同士の話し合いが誘発される過程を分析し、コミュニケーションが活性化する仕組みを取り入れた保育活動案を提案することを目指す。さらに、保育現場で活躍する保育者が実際に活用できる保育活動案として還元することを目的とする。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The acquisition of language in early childhood has a significant impact on a child's development. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to examine the specific types of childcare activities that activate infant conversation, or verbal communication.
Since previous research has shown that young children tend to maintain their concentration during expressive modeling activities, we conducted an analysis focusing on young children's speech and conversation during expressive modeling activities. As a result, it was understood that children's conversation is activated especially in the plastic arts activities where the attractiveness of the materials attracts their interest.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
幼児の言葉による伝え合いが活性化する保育活動案として造形表現活動に注目し、幼児にとって素材に魅力があるスライム遊び、トイレットペーパー遊び、段ボール遊び、木切れ遊びを実証実験で取り上げ実践した。それぞれの活動において、幼児の集中力は継続し、各年齢段階に応じた発話が生まれていた。さらにその発話は、活動を通して幼児と保育者、または幼児同士で会話へと発展することが分かった。つまり、造形表現活動は幼児の言葉による伝え合いを活性することができる側面があり、就学期に必要不可欠となる言葉の力の基礎基本を獲得することができる、より良い機会となることが理解できた。以上が、本研究の学術的意義・社会的意義である。
