| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究では、学士課程を通じた学生のキャリア形成支援とつながる初年次教育の在り方を検討することを目的とする。そのため、学生調査を用いて、入学時の個人特性や属性、入学後のキャリア意識のあり方や学習者間の相互作用を通じた学習経験について縦断的に調査を行う。また、初年次教育科目受講後の１年前期終了時および就職活動前の３年前期終了時における汎用的技能の習得状況を、標準テストを用いて客観的に把握する。これらのパネルデータを3カ年分蓄積することにより、汎用的技能のどのような側面の習得度や学士課程教育を通じた伸長度に、学生の入学時の特性要因や入学後の経験要因が、どのように寄与するのかについて検討する。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, to explore the ideal approach to first-year education in conjunction with supporting students' career development, we aimed to: (1) objectively understand the current state of generic skills in first-year students and again in third-year students before job hunting, and (2) examine how students' individual characteristics at the time of enrollment, as well as their sense of university adaptation and career awareness after enrollment, are related to learning outcomes (academic performance and generic skills) throughout the undergraduate program.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究の意義は，１年時および就職活動前の３年時における学業成績ならびに汎用的技能習得における個人差と伸長度を規定する要因について、Astin（1993）のI-E-Oモデルを基に、学生の学習成果（learning outcome）に焦点を当てて検討することにある。すなわち、入学時の個人特性の影響を考慮した上で、入学後の初年次教育における大学適応感やキャリア意識の醸成の重要性について、学修成果との関連を通して分析することができたと考える。
