| Outline of Research at the Start |
発達障害のある子どもは、こだわり、感覚異常などの障害特性によって、強い偏食傾向を示すことが多い。私はこれまで、保育者や教師、栄養士に対して偏食改善のための研修会を行い、多くの子どもの給食の中で食べられる食材のレパートリーを増やしてきた。しかし、偏食を改善するには、長期に渡る対応が必要であり、そのためには家庭での取り組みが不可欠であると言える。また、家庭では外食の機会もあり、場面に応じた対策も重要になる。
そこで、さまざまな食の場面において対応できるように、偏食の背景要因ごとにどのように対応したらよいのかを保護者に具体的に、そして個別的に示すプログラムを開発する。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We have developed a picky eating improvement program based on the following five pillars for parents raising children with developmental disabilities.
① Think about the reason for not eating, ② Work in small steps, ③ Don't force it, ④ Minimize changes, ⑤ Praise if you can do even a little.
In most cases where children fail to improve picky eating, it is because they do not praise their children.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
①食べない原因を考える。②スモールステップで取り組む。③強制しない。④変化を少なくする。⑤少しでもできたらほめる。の5つを柱にした偏食改善プ色グラムを作成し、それを使用して、全国において、保護者、栄養士、栄養教諭、保育者を対象にした研修会を実施している。
