| Outline of Research at the Start |
言語的交流が制限を受ける在宅神経難病患者に対するケアは非常に困難である。そこでそのような患者のQOL向上及び“死の準備”を踏まえた自らの人生の受容を目的とした＜スピリチュアルケア＞の必要性が期待される。本研究は、思い出の音楽や曲、歌を用いて行うライフレビュー、及びその時に泣き叫んだり怒ったりする情動の爆発を通した＜スピリチュアルケア＞を、音楽療法士と臨床心理士（公認心理師）の協働で行い、その効果を質的に研究することを目的とする。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
To patients of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Parkinson's disease and Muscular Dystrophy, we gave collaboration of music therapy and psychotherapy to heighten the score of mental health inventory. Results were that collaboration of them heightened the vitality or liveliness and friendshipness of these patients and patients received vitality of life and felt friendly feeling to other people afer they experienced this collaboration.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
神経難病患者は、自身が不治の病に罹患したという診断を受けた後、ショックを受け、病気受容に困難を覚えると共に、人前に出ることに抵抗を感じてひきこもり気味になってしまうことも多い。そのような患者に音楽療法と心理療法の協働を提供することで、患者の人生に活気を蘇らせ、他者に対して友好的な感情を高め、QOL（生活の質：Quality of Life）を向上させる。それに加え、介護者を含めた患者の周囲の人へのケアの道が拓けるなど、社会的意義は大きい。
