Outline of Research at the Start

ある種の微分方程式の境界値問題の解を求める際には、ポテンシャル理論を用いることが有効な方法であることがよく知られている。ポテンシャル理論において現れる境界上の積分作用素のスペ クトル解析や漸近挙動の解析により、微分方程式の解についての詳細な情報を得ることができる。
この研究課題では、ポテンシャル理論に現れる一重層ポテンシャルの漸近挙動の解析および付随するノイマン-ポアンカレ作用素のスペクトル解析を行い、境界の滑らかさやその形状とそれらの作用素との関連を確立することを目的とする。応用として、プラズモン共鳴と呼ばれる物理現象にそ れらの結果を用いて、領域の形状とプラズモン共鳴との関連を明らかにする。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

局所的プラズモン共鳴現象は、クローキングや超解像レンズなどへの応用が考えられており、その数学的な解析は非常に重要である。局所的プラズモン共鳴現象の解析には、ノイマン-ポアンカレ作用素のスペクトル解析が有効であることが分かっており、固有値の集積の速さや多重度、および固有関数の性質の解析が非常に重要である。申請者や、研究分担者および研究協力者との共同研究で、ほとんど全ての3次元凸閉曲面でノイマン-ポアンカレ作用素の全ての固有値の多重度を持たないことを証明し、学術論文誌に投稿した。

昨年度は研究分担者、研究協力者と対面で打ち合わせおよび国際研究発表を行なったが、コロナ禍の影響もあり当初の予定より進捗は遅れている。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

研究分担者、研究協力者と密に連絡をとり、研究を推進していく。9月には、研究協力者と中国・武漢で開催される国際研究集会で打ち合わせ、信州大学で研究分担者と打ち合わせを予定している。
