Outline of Research at the Start

波の動きを支配する方程式があってそれに様々な形態の摩擦の効果を付け加えて考察する。そのときその方程式の解及びそれに付随するエネルギーが時間が十分経過したときにどのような振る舞いをするのか、更にその振る舞いを量的に捉えることを考察対象とする。その振る舞いをシンボライズした対応する「量」をできうる限り精密に捉えることが重要であり面白い。言い換えると、振る舞いの仕方は時間の関数として表現されるので、その関数を的確に捉えることがこの研究の最大の目標である。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

(1)強い摩擦項を"一般化"した波動方程式の初期値問題を考察し、その減衰構造・増大構造と漸近形を導出した。典型的な強摩擦項型波動の性質がどこまで保存されるのかの閾値を解析した。国際数学誌J. Math. Anal. Appl.に掲載済。(2)空間1及び2次元の(自由)波動方程式の初期値問題を考察し、その解自身のある量の最良な時間増大率を導出した。その際に初期値のゼロ次モーメントが重要な役割を演じていることも指摘した。低次元の問題がなぜ"難しい"のか、その根拠のある側面を指摘した。国際数学誌J. Hyperbolic Differ. Equ.に掲載済。この論文は当該雑誌での"JHDE - Top Articles of 2023"の第3位にランキングされている。(3)Thermoviscous流におけるいわゆるBlackstockモデルの初期値問題を考察し、(主に低次元での)解自身の最良時間増大・減衰率の導出及び解の特異極限問題、更に対応する非線形問題の小さい解の時間大域存在を導出・議論した。国際数学誌Indiana Univ. Math. J.に掲載済。(4)ある抽象的な時間2階の発展方程式の初期値問題の特異極限問題を"巧みな"エネルギー法を再構築しながら考察した。国際数学誌Hokkaido Math. J.に掲載済。(5)正値なポテンシャル項を持つ波動方程式の初期値問題を考察し、その局所エネルギーの減衰率を特定した。特にポテンシャルの空間遠方での減衰仮定はかなり緩い条件に修正されている。国際数学誌Asymptotic Anal.に掲載済。(6)いわゆるThermoelastic plateモデルの初期値問題を考察し、(低次元における)解自身のある量の最良な時間増大率を特定及びその特異極限問題も考察した。国際数学誌Math. Meth. Appl. Sci.に掲載済。

Reason

この年度だけですでに6本の論文が国際数学誌に掲載され、更に一本は2023年の年間Top3にランキングされていることがその根拠である。"当初予期していないことが起こる"ことについては、いい意味で起こることは大歓迎であるが、不測の事態が起こった場合は、共同研究者と研究打ち合わせを行い更に多くの関連する論文を読んだり研究集会に参加したりして最新の研究の動向を探り解決のヒントを得ることになる。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

今年度は5年間の研究の最終年度にあたる。従って(もうすでに関係機関の間ではアナウンス済であるが)国際研究集会を開催し海外からのゲストを招聘する。そこで関連する話題についての国際的な研究網を構築しこれまで行ってきた私どもの研究成果を今後の新たなる問題提起及びその解決に繋げていく予定である。予算等については、過去にコロナの影響で国際研究集会が開けずずっと持ち越してきた資金を運用する。
