Outline of Research at the Start

非線形拡散方程式に現れる複雑な時空パターンを解明するには,解の特異性と伝播現象の深い知見が重要な鍵となる.リッチ流と関連する対数拡散方程式は非線形拡散の特異性がたいへん強く,その解挙動の解析は困難とされている.本研究は対数拡散方程式の解挙動やその時空パターンを無限次元力学系の観点から統一的に解明する.その手法は他の様々な超速拡散方程式へも適用でき,統計物理のカーレマンモデルやプラズマ拡散,雪崩現象などにも応用可能である.

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

(1)被食者捕食者型反応拡散系のさまざまな時空パターンを解明する上で,侵入現象と伝播現象の解析は不可欠だが,これらの研究は断片的な視点からなされている.標準的な比較原理が適用できない点が被食捕食型モデルや感染症の反応拡散方程式系の解析を難しくしている.線形化作用素のスペクトル解析に基づく重みつき空間での進行波の局所安定性が調べられているものの,重みつき空間での「大域的な」安定性は,未解明である.研究代表者はJong-Shenq Guo氏(Tamkang大学)と被食者捕食者系やLotka-Volterra競争系で拡散係数が等しい半線形反応拡散系の進行波解の安定性に関してエントロピーの枠組みに基づく一般論を発見した(Applied Mathematics Letters148(2024),Journal of Differential Equations 375(2024)).(2)気候変動などの環境変動のある被食者捕食者型反応拡散系を考察した.まず,Jong-Shenq Guo氏,Karen Guo氏(Providence 大学)と環境変化の効果をもつ2捕食-1被食系反応拡散方程式の進行波の存在を証明した(Nonlinear Analysis 73(2023)). さらにJong-Shenq Guo氏,Chin-Chin Wu氏(國立中興大學)と広がり波面の伝播現象についての解析をした(Discrete Contin. Dyn. Syst. Ser. B, 28(2023)).(3)柳田英二氏(東京大学),物部治徳氏(大阪公立大学)と,単安定反応項がついた対数拡散方程式のパルス型進行波の閾値性を調べた.任意の正値解の挙動を完全に分類し,それらの漸近挙動の問題を解決した(SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis 55(2023)).

Reason

対数拡散方程式の研究は予定通りに,進行している.また,対数拡散方程式の研究における全域解の分類定理の派生的な研究成果として,数理生物や感染症に現れる侵入現象や伝播現象についてのいくつかの未解決問題を統一的な視点から解決しつつある.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

数理生態学や化学反応などで自然に表れる反応拡散方程式の侵入現象を解析する.以下の3つの課題の研究を行う.課題1:被食者捕食者系を含む反応拡散系のフロント型進行波の存在と安定性.課題2:温暖化などの気候変動を考慮した生物種の絶滅現象に関わる反応拡散方程式の侵入現象.課題3:非局所的な拡散効果がある反応拡散方程式系に対する,広がり波面の伝播現象と進行波の安定性.
