Outline of Research at the Start

Porous Medium型の退化拡散を伴う反応拡散方程式の解の形状を解析する.具体的には反応項が正の安定平衡点を複数もつ多安定型の場合,ある条件の下で解は時間の経過とともに必ず速度の異なる進行波を積み重ねた階段状の形状(propagating terrace)に漸近することを証明する.また,非線形拡散の他の例として非等方的拡散と多安定型反応項をもつ反応拡散方程式においても適当な条件の下で解がpropagating terraceに収束することを証明する.

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度は昨年まで論文として執筆を行ってきた高次元反応拡散方程式の自由境界問題についての論文が2件について査読結果に対応したのち,Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems Sおよび Journal de Mathematiques Pures et Appliqueesから出版された。また,その成果について、アメリカ合衆国のウィルミントンで行われた国際会議「The 13th AIMS conference on Dynamical Systems, Differential Equations and Applications」で2件,日本の東京で行われた国際会議「ICIAM 2023」で1件,スペインのマドリードで行われた国際会議「Euro-Japanese Conference on Nonlinear Diffusions」で1件研究発表を行った。

上記の研究からさらに発展して,対称性を仮定しない高次元の自由境界問題において,解の詳細な形状を調べると,詳しくは,原点を端点とする任意の半直線上での解の形状が時間とともに1次元的な形状に収束するかという新たな課題が生じた。これについて,反応拡散方程式に対するCauchyについて関連論文について手法を精査をしている。カギとなる反応拡散方程式の全域解を特徴づけるリュービル型定理について自由境界問題では十分が整備なされている状態ではなく,今後の課題となることを認識した。

新型コロナウィルスによる渡航自粛期間の影響で全体的に遅れている。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

研究実績のところで述べた,原点を端点とする半直線上での解の形状が時間とともに1次元的な形状に収束するかという新たな課題について,反応拡散方程式の自由境界問題に詳しいYihong Du教授と研究打ち合わせを行う。また,反応拡散方程式の解の幾何学的な手法について情報収集を行う予定である。Du教授との打ち合わせは5月にイタリアで行われる国際会議にて行う予定である。
