Outline of Research at the Start

非摂動的くりこみ群を用いた手法により、重力の量子効果を取り入た理論を整備し、その物理的予言を調べ、検証をします。今までの研究では、理論の相互作用としてどのようなものまで考えるべきかが明確にされていないので、これを明らかにします。この場合、高階微分の項が必要になりますが、その項があると意味のある理論として重要なユニタリー性が破れます。それが、量子効果を取り入れた有効作用に現れる非局所性や、計量と接続が独立になっている一般相対論の定式化を高階微分の場合に拡張することにより解決される可能性を探ります。また、量子論的有効作用を求めて、一般相対論との相違点、得られる量子効果の検証をします。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

漸近的安全性による量子重力理論の定式化の物理的応用として昨年度、回転するカーブラックホールを考えると、非自明な無矛盾性条件が必要であることを世界で初めて発見し、その解として、ブラックホールのエントロピーが、ホライズン面積の関数として決まることを示し、非常に大きなクラスのブラックホール解に成立するエントロピーの公式を与えた。今年度はこの量子効果を入れたブラックホールが温度と質量などを変化させてたときどうなるかを示す層構造を調べた。また、これまで考えた量子効果ではブラックホールに存在する特異点が解消出来ないので、さらにどのような拡張を考えたら特異点が解消しうるかを考察した。その結果、ニュートン定数がブラックホールの質量にも依存する可能性を取り入れると、特異点が解消しうることを示した。この場合の量子論的なエントロピーの一般的な表式も拡張することが出来た。さらに、これまで漸近的安全性のアプローチで見逃されていた波動関数くりこみの効果を取り入れる必要があることを指摘し、それを考慮すると宇宙項の低エネルギーでの振る舞いが決まることを発見した。また、くりこみ群に現れるベータ関数の定義にいろいろな方法があるが、くりこみ項の係数から定義する方法を採用すると、ベータ関数が特定の形に制限されることがわかった。この結果は論文としてまとめているところである。これらは重力の量子論を構築する上で重要な成果と考えている。
以上の成果は数々の研究会で発表しており、今後さらに発展が期待される。

コロナ禍で出来なかった外国の共同研究者への訪問や、研究会に参加することが出来るようになったので、研究が進むようになった。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

漸近的安全性により重力の量子論を構築していく上で残されている重要な問題のうち、非摂動的にくりこみ可能な理論をどの範囲にまで限ったら良いかという問題に関連して、場の再定義で除ける不要な項を取り除くことで理論がゴーストの問題なく定式化出来ることが分かってきた。ただこれは物質場がないときだけなので、今後は物質が関与するとどうなるかを調べたい。また、くりこみ群を用いて、この理論が低エネルギー現象にどのような影響を持つのかを、くりこみ群方程式を低エネルギーまで積分することにより調べたり、ブラックホールや宇宙初期の特異点に対する効果など、物理的な結果を得て、実験、観測的な予言を行い、この理論を検証することを目指す。今年度も国際研究会に参加したり、共同研究者を訪問することを活発に行い、研究を推進したい。
