Outline of Research at the Start

本研究課題は，
・坑井気候学による日本の地表面の温度変動披瀝復元
・坑井温度プロファイル・地殻熱流量・熱伝導率などのデータベースのアップデートとその公開
を同時並行で実施することにより，日本周辺域における地表面の温度変動を定量的に高精度で評価することにより，グローバルな地表面の温度変動披瀝復元や気候予測モデルの高度化に資することを図るものである．

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究課題は，【坑井気候学による日本の地表面の温度変動披瀝復元】及び【坑井温度プロファイル・地殻熱流量・熱伝導率などのデータベースのアップデートとその公開】を同時並行的に実施することにより，日本周辺域における地表面の温度変動を定量的に高精度で評価することを目指す．それにより，グローバルな地表面の温度変動披瀝復元や気候予測モデルの高度化に資することを図るものである．
坑井温度プロファイルによる地表面温度履歴に関する有益な情報を得，地殻熱流量に関する最新の研究結果を把握するために，国際・国内会議 (28th IUGG General Assembly, 日本地震学会2023年度秋季大会，AGU fall Meeting 2023) に参加した．発表などを通じて，研究内容について意見交換など，今後の研究を進める上で貴重な情報を得ることができた．さらに，地殻熱流量に関する国際共同研究を推進している IUGG/IASPEI の委員会である IHFC (国際熱流量委員会 [http://ihfc-iugg.org]) の元で進めている熱流量データベースの新たに構築した構造と評価スキームについての共著論文を公表した．
また，28th IUGG General Assembly の間に開催された，IHFC のビジネス会合に参加し，現在の地殻熱流量などのデータベースの問題点の抽出やデータベースの利活用などに関して議論し，今後の方針を確認した．

Reason

国際的な熱流量データベースの新たに構築した構造と評価スキームに関しての共著論文を海外学術誌にも公表した．また，ようやく国際会議における対面での自由闊達な意見交換が滞りなく実施されるようになり，オンライン会議などでは困難であった詳細な議論が可能となり，今後の方向性が明らかになった．これらの点から，おおむね順調に進展していると考えている．

Strategy for Future Research Activity

地殻熱流量・熱伝導率などのデータベースに関しては，”国際熱流量委員会” の活動を通じるだけではなく，文献調査なども実施することにより，引き続きアップデートに努める．
一方，坑井気候学に関しては，温度変動披瀝のインバージョン解析の結果を，他の指標との比較などを通じて定量的に評価する．
