| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究における学術的背景としては、医療技術の「アウトカム」をどのように測定するかという課題がある。アウトカムといっても各領域によってその考え方等は異なるであろうが、ここでは特に、医療技術評価あるいは医療経済評価を特に政策応用する際には、その結果を医療技術の償還や価格の調整に用いることが一般的であり、そのためのアウトカムとしては、生存年をQOL値で調整したQALY(質調整生存年)が標準的に用いられる。本研究においては、QOL値を測定するための、尺度(質問票)の開発、換算表(回答をスコアに換算するもの)の作成、測定結果を解釈するための国民標準値の作成などについて、種々の尺度を用いて検討を行う。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Using the data set of value sets, I started developing the following preference-based measures; ASCOT-Carer, AP-7D, EORTC QLU C-10D, FACT-8D. Regarding ASCOT-Carer and EORTC QLU C-10D, I completed development and published the article. Now responses to both responses can be converted to utilities. AP-7D and FACT-8D needs more development process to establish the values sets.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
ASCOT-CarerとEORTC QLU C-10Dについては、日本の換算表に基づき回答を効用値に変換することが可能となった。AP-7DとFACT-8Dはさらなる検討が必要であるが、相当程度の開発を進めることができるようになった。
