Outline of Research at the Start

Outline of Final Research Achievements
This study aimed to support the creation of a society where individuals can live with peace of mind and dignity even after a cancer diagnosis. Surveys were conducted with cancer patients, their families, community residents, and local professionals to explore their support needs and perceptions regarding cancer care in the community. Based on the results, a community-based support model was developed, comprising three core components: (1) consultation support for patients and families, (2) educational support for local multidisciplinary professionals, and (3) public awareness and outreach activities. The model envisions the use of spaces such as community pharmacy cafes as potential hubs, and outlines a direction for creating systems that facilitate easy access to consultation for patients and families and promote collaboration among diverse professionals. This framework helps lay the groundwork for building a sustainable, inclusive support system tailored to local community needs.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
